Many schools these days
make recordings of their band or choir, mostly for friends and family.
The NSMEA would like to showcase the hard work our students in Nova
Scotia do. We'd like to create a page dedicated to recordings by school
ensembles, with contact information so that visitors to the site could
perhaps download sound samples, and/or purchase the recording. If your
school ensemble has a tape or CD, and you'd like to share it (or sell
it) on the NSMEA site, please write us at tammy.duggan@strait.ednet.ns.ca
.

teaching an exciting and invigorating approach to music education. Founded
in 1974 by Professor Doreen Hall of the University of Toronto, Carl
Orff Canada has grown to include regional and local chapters throughout
the country, as increasing numbers of music educators and administrators

the Orff approach can enhance your music program.
If you are a Nova Scotia
music teacher, you may want to link up with other educators in our country
and around the world. "Artsedge" maintains several mailing lists with
just those possibilities. Check out
how to subscribe
to the Artsedge mailing list. Also, check out these usenet groups with
your news reader: rec.music.theory, rec.music.compose, or rec.music.classical.
