The NSTU Leadership Development Conference is the NSTU's primary vehicle for providing focused leadership training for its members, developed in response to the changing needs of the organization as our demographic shifts from late to early career teachers. Approximately 175 delegates participate in the training each year, participating in concurrent sessions, meeting with NSTU leaders in similar roles, networking with regional leadership and socializing with colleagues from around Nova Scotia. The 2010 NSTU Leadership Development Conference is scheduled for St. Francis Xavier University, August 17 to 19.
The Nova Scotia Educational Leadership Consortium (NSELC) is one of the NSTU's education partners, offering professional development opportunities for teachers with administrative responsibilities, or teachers who have an interest in educational leadership and administration.
Developing Successful Schools is aimed at public school principals in Atlantic Canada.
