Provincial and Local committees play an important role in the activities of the NSTU. All provincial committees report to the Provincial Executive.
Applications must be received in Central Office by Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Would you like to serve the NSTU at the Provincial Level?
The NSTU values input from a broad cross-section of its membership to ensure it can make the most effective contribution to education. To support this goal, the NSTU seeks skilled and interested members to serve on its provincial standing committees.
Committee appointments are generally for a term of two or three years, helping ensure ongoing opportunities for member participation and involvement. Committee membership is open to Active and Active Reserve Members.
According to NSTU Operational Procedures, committee appointments are for one defined term of two or three years. In extraordinary circumstances, an extension of one year may be permitted.
Most committee appointments are made at the June meeting of the Provincial Executive. If a vacancy arises during the year, information about the available position and the application form will be posted below.

Completion of this online form will ensure that appropriate reservations will be made for your NSTU committee meeting. Reservations must be made through NSTU Central Office.
Important: Reservations must be made through NSTU Central Office. Should you need to cancel your room, please inform the NSTU Central Office by 11:59 a.m. at least two days prior to your reservation.
